Polly Gaillard has received both national and regional grants to pursue various photographic series. Her photographs comment on topics like motherhood, marriage, adolescent girls, and family. She is currently pursuing an MFA in Visual Arts from Vermont College of Fine Art and will graduate in August, 2010. Polly teaches photography at Anderson University in South Carolina. She was invited to participate in the Santa Fe Review in June of 2009 in Santa Fe, NM. She won first place from juror Jamie Lee Curtis for the international exhibition "Childhood" sponsored by the Texas Photographic Society. Polly has been selected to be part of the Nostalgia exhibit at Vermont Photography Workplace by Juror Larissa Leclair and the Women's International Juried Photography Exhibition 2010 at 12 12 Gallery in Richmond, VA by Juror Margaret Salisbury. Most recently, Polly was chosen by Juror Keith Carter to participate in the exhibition Photoplace Open, 2010 at Vermont Photography Workplace.
